Technip inspects, repairs and maintains offshore platforms and subsea equipments for its clients. These operations require divers or ROV interventions depending on the working depth or on the type of subsea structures.
All our vessels are equipped with the latest ROV equipment and technology available in the industry, utilising alloys adapted to ever deeper waters and demanding hyperbaric pressures. These commonly include Triton MRV's and XLS's robots.

Overview of the fleet
Technip's Remote Systems Unit (RSU) is responsible for the supply of remotely operated vehicles (ROV's) and tooling to support the Group's project activity worldwide.
We operate a fleet of 21 advanced workclass ROV systems which are mostly permanently installed on Technip vessels. All our ROV systems are high specification and come complete with customised rough weather handling systems.

State-of-the-art ROV's
Our ROV's carry out a full range of subsea support services for our pipelay and construction activities. The systems are customised to suit the full range of project activities and on our premier pipelay vessel, the Deep Blue, the dual Triton Multi Role Vehicle (TMRV) ROV systems are outfitted with powered cages and a unique acoustic touchdown monitoring sonar system.
Ongoing investment in this part of our business will see a further eight new generation Triton XLX ROV systems deployed on new build vessels over the next two years.
These new build ROV systems will all be 150 Hp, 3,000-meter rated deepwater systems and will be complete with auto-station keeping, a new Windows control system and a host of advanced features.

Training school
Technip has made a significant investment in training ROV's and simulators. State-of-the art ROV training simulators are stationed in Asia Pacific, Brazil and the UK. Full training capabilities are being developed and expanded in these regions.
Training is provided for ROV pilots, project and graduate engineers and associated project personnel. Our objective is to provide training and general familiarisation on all aspects of ROV intervention. This commitment will ensure that our offshore teams are fully prepared for the execution of all deepwater projects.

Technip provides a range of Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM) services to our clients' in order to ensure the integrity of their offshore installations.
These IRM services are predominantly diver oriented and serviced via Technip's fleet of Diving Support Vessels (DSV's) which is the largest in the world.
An extensive investment programme will see two new build DSV's joining the Technip fleet in the next tow years and these state-of-the-art vessels will be the most sophisticated and technically advanced diver support vessels ever deployed.
