Chairman and CEO
Before joining Technip in 2007, Thierry Pilenko was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Veritas DGC, a seismic services company based in Houston. While at Veritas DGC he successfully managed its merger with the Compagnie Générale de Géophysique.
Prior to this appointment, Pilenko held various management and executive positions with Schlumberger where he started in 1984 as a geologist. He held several international positions in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia before becoming President of Schlumberger GeoQuest in Houston and subsequently Managing Director of SchlumbergerSema in Paris until 2004.
Thierry Pilenko holds degrees from France’s Nancy School of Geology (1981) and the IFP School (1982). He serves on the Board of Directors of Hercules Offshore (USA). 


Philippe BARRIL
and Chief Operating Officer
In January 2014 Philippe Barril was named President and Chief Operating Officer. Since 2011 he held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Onshore/Offshore.
Philippe Barril joined Technip in 2009 as Senior Vice President, Onshore-Offshore Product Lines and Technologies before being named Senior Vice President Region A (one of the Group’s seven Regions covering Western Europe, Africa, India and Pakistan). Prior to this he held various positions in the hydrocarbon industry including stints at Entrepose contracting and Bouygues Offshore, as well as a first experience at Technip from 2002 to 2005 as Senior Vice President Africa-Mediterranean Sea Offshore and Subsea.
Philippe Barril is a graduate of Ecole Centrale Lyon (1988).


Knut Boe
President North Sea Canada
Knut Boe joined Technip’s Executive Committee in January 2014. Since 2007 he holds the position of President North Sea Canada (one of the Group’s seven Regions). Knut joined Technip in 1998 as Managing Director of Coflexip Stena Offshore (acquired by Technip in 2001). In 2001 he became Executive Vice President, Marine Operations and Technical Services, based in Paris, and took the position of Senior Executive Vice President, Operations Division in 2005, at Corporate level.
Previously, he held various management positions for several companies in Oslo, Norway.
Knut holds a Msc Mechanical Engineering degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway.


Group General Counsel
John Harrison brings extensive international experience to Technip having started his career in 1991 at the international law firm Clifford Chance, working consecutively in their London, New York and Paris offices. From 1998 onwards he held senior legal positions in Airbus and in the EADS Group.
Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales since 1993, John Harrison completed his academic studies at the University of McGill, Montréal, Canada. He holds a Bachelors (LLB (Hons)) and Master (LLM) of Laws degree.


Hallvard Hasselknippe
President and Chief Operating Officer Subsea
Hallvard Hasselknippe joined Technip’s Executive Committee in January 2014 as COO Subsea.
In 2010, he was appointed COO Subsea Asia-Pacific (one of the Group’s seven Regions).
Hallvard began his career within the Group in 1996 at Coflexip Stena Offshore (acquired by Technip in 2001) as an engineering manager; then, in 2000, he became Sales and Business Development Manager and, in 2005, Technip Managing Director in Norway.
Before that, he held various positions in the hydrocarbon industry including stints at Norwegian Petroleum Consultants and Saga Petroleum.
Hallvard Hasselknippe graduated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway.


Human Resources Director
Thierry Parmentier joined Technip in March 2008 as Senior Vice President International Staff Management and was named Director of Human Resources in June 2009.
Prior to joining Technip and over a twenty-year period, Thierry held various senior HR positions at Schlumberger, Atos Origin and Faurecia.
He holds a Masters degree in law from the University of Paris II.


President and Chief Operating Officer Onshore/Offshore
Nello Uccelletti was promoted to this position in January 2014. Since July 2010, he has been Senior Vice President Onshore.
After receiving a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Naples, Nello Uccelletti joined Technip in 1978. He has spent his entire career within the Group in positions including Manager of Technip Italy's Engineering Department and Middle East Business and Projects Units. In 2001 he was given the responsibility of Technip Group's Middle East Business and Project Units. From the end of 2005 he was in charge of all Business Development Activities for Technip Italy including the Middle East, Southern and Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia and South America. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Technip Italy in April 2007, and Senior Vice President, Region B in October 2007.


Group Chief Financial Officer
Julian Waldron, a graduate of Cambridge University, started his career at the investment bank UBS Warburg where he spent 14 years. He then worked at Thomson where he was Chief Financial Officer from 2001 and interim Chief Executive Officer from March 2008 to August 2008.
He joined Technip in October 2008, as Group Chief Financial Officer.
Julian has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of Management Consulting Group (MCG) since 2008, and has recently been appointed as MCG’s Deputy Chairman. He is also Chairman of the Engineering Construction Risk Institute (ECRI).
