Delivering the latest technologies

A center of technological excellence, Technip France offers its customers the most innovative technologies in the world.

Technip France has established a Quality Management System which adapts to each of its customers' requirements. Technip France is ISO 9001 and ISO 10006 certified for its Project Management, Design, Construction Procurement, Installation and Commissioning capacities for Onshore, Offshore and Subsea complexes. The center has also been ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified since 2002.

Subsea

Technip France's Subsea activities include detailed engineering and services linked to Offshore projects. These services use a complete range of technologies and products manufactured by other entities in the Group such as subseas flowlines, umbilicals and riser systems. These technologies are the result of continual research and development work. The installation of various Subsea systems requires the use of specialized vessels from the Technip fleet and remotely-operated vehicles (ROVs) for subsea construction.

Offshore

Technip France's Offshore activities are focused mainly on the design and construction of topsides, fixed deep-water platforms and FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) units, but also involve carrying out large scale underwater operations. Technip France offers customers a range of proprietary technologies such as the TPG 500, a self-installable fixed platform designed for shallow water, the FPSO, the Unideck system as well as semi-submersible platforms.

Onshore

In the Onshore segment, Technip France covers all onshore installations for the production, transformation and transport of oil and gas as well as installations for the petrochemical and other industries. This segment comprises the following activities: treatment and liquefaction of gas, refining, hydrogen & ethylene, biofuels, life sciences, buildings & infrastructures and mining & metals.

Gas treatment and liquefaction: Technip is currently working on several LNG mega-projects, the largest in the petroleum industry in terms of size and investment, in Yemen, Nigeria and Qatar. Togethernall of these units under construction will produce nearly 58 million tons of LNG a year, the equivalent of 40% of the current global LNG production capacity.

Extraction of NGL (Natural Gas Liquids): Technip offers innovative and efficient solutions based on its proprietary technology CRYOMAX®. This cryogenic procedure enables optimal extraction of Natural Gas Liquids. Patents also cover specific CRYOMAX® applications in gas liquefaction. FVR (Flash Vapor Recycle) are recently patented procedures, which apply to extraction of C2+ from natural gas.

Refining and treatment of heavy oils: Technip contributed to construction of several refineries and extensions of existing units. For several years it has also been building units enabling the treatment of extra heavy oils.

Biofuels: Technip France has been present on this market for more than 25 years and has constructed more than 10 biofuel production units.

Mines and Metals: Technip France is internationally recognized for the design and construction of units for extracting and treating metals (nickel, cobalt, uranium, alumina, etc.) using hydro-metallurgical and pyro-metallurgical procedures.

Life Sciences: For its pharmaceutical and biotechnology activities, Technip France relies on a core of experts and specialists fully fluent in the specific details of these fields: procedures, technologies and regulations. Technip has produced numerous major centers in the sectors of fine chemicals, intermediary products and main active ingredients, pharmaceuticals, veterinary products and agrochemicals.
