Leading the way

Training

The organisational structure of the company is hierarchical with each process having a reporting line as well as a communication line to support operations.

The company has a staff compliment of 150 professionals with  75% of its staff being Nigerians. It accomplishes an annual engineering capacity of 200,000 man-hours which we aim to double in the coming years.

The company resources include all necessary disciplines to perform any project in oil & gas with a strong emphasis on project management, process design and general engineering.

The company has already proven its leadership in engineering by increasing the gap with its competitors, thanks to its commitment to Nigerian competency development and to QHSES through the use of Advanced technologies. Business Ethics is one of the core values of the company, defining the overall frame of the performance of company activities.

TRAINING/COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT PLANS:
Our future training plans for Nigerian engineers remain even more vigorous than the years past. All the Nigerian engineers shall receive on-the-job training, as well as working on projects where they would hold key responsibilities as Project Engineers, Project Controls Manager, HSE Engineer, QA Manager, Lead Discipline Engineers etc. They would also work in association with Expatriates under the ‘Mentoring’ programme.

All available opportunities will continue to be utilized to depute Nigerian engineers on Technip Nigerian projects abroad.

As a part of our Nigerian Competency Development Plan, besides providing on-the-job training in our Lagos office, our aim is also to continue deputing Nigerian engineers, in Engineering disciplines and Project management areas, to global project assignments in the coming years.

Our non-technical staff shall undergo various trainings to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.

All efforts are being made not only to employ more Nigerian engineers but also to vigorously train them to perform their assigned roles and build skills required for taking up higher responsibilities in the future in order to meet or surpass the target set by Nigerian Government Directives.
