The Technip Group in Brazil


Present in Brazil since 1976, Technip offers services and technological solutions for Subsea deepwater fields, Offshore facilities and Onshore processing units, providing full capabilities and a dedicated vessel for pipeline installation.

Technip covers three fields of activities:

  • Subsea
  • Offshore
  • Onshore

With a workforce of over 2,700 professionals in Brazil, Technip provides engineering and construction services to the oil and gas industry, with a maximum national content, covering design and installation of deepwater pipeline and equipment, onshore pipeline design and construction, refinery, petrochemicals and non-oil sectors such as fertilizers, chemical products, cement, and others.

Technip in Brazil

The Technip workforce is located in Rio de Janeiro, Macaé, Angra dos Reis and Vitória, divided in three main areas:

  • Subsea
This division is responsible for Project management and subsea services in the oil and gas industry, pipeline installation (rigid and flexibles) and equipments. The subsea operations are performed by subsea construction vessels such as the Sunrise 2000, dedicated exclusively to Brazil since 1995 for operations up to 2,000 m waterdepth.

Flexibras Vitória

  • Flexible Products

With an engineering center located in Rio de Janeiro, Technip designs and produces flexible pipes in its manufacturing plant located in Vitória. Technip Brazil has worked in partnership with Petrobras since 1976 and is recognized as a pioneer in the supply and installation of flexible lines.

Technip Engineering Center in Rio


  • Onshore & Offshore
This segment operates in the engineering and construction onshore and offshore in charge of platforms, procurement and onshore facilities for the oil and gas, petrochemical and other industries.
 
Thanks to the experience acquired by the companies that established Technip in Brazil, the Group ranks among the Engineering leaders in Brazil. Technip's main fields of activity are offshore platforms and topside design, petrochemicals, refineries, onshore pipelines design and construction, biofuels, hydrogen, fertilizers, chemicals, and other industries.
