Manufacturing flexible pipes plant

Flexibras, the flexible pipe manufacturing plant located in Vitória, was established in 1985 to supply the local market with pipes, umbilicals, ISU® (Integrated Service Umbilicals), static applications (flexible lines) and dynamic (risers) as well as DRAPS (Drilling, Refining and Onshore Applications).

The pipes for up to 2,000 m deep with a working pressure of 10,000 psi, can have diameters ranging from 2" to 12". Over the last two decades, the tubes manufactured at Flexibras have acheived several water depth records.

Port of Angra dos Reis

The Port of Angra is located in the city of Angra dos Reis, 157 km away from Rio de Janeiro and 230 km from the Santos Basin. It is a major logistics center for cargo handling and support to offshore projects.

Technip will widen the berth and the background area of the Port of Angra, to serve the offshore pre-salt market. The expansion will enable the sustainable development of the port, increasing the port operations and following Technip's commitment to environmental and social responsibility. It is expected to generate 2,000 jobs within five years. Technip will also create a training center to develop the local workforce.

Flexibrás Açu

In 2014, Technip Group began operating the one of the most modern manufacturing plant of flexible pipes in the world, located in the Port of Açu, in the north of Rio de Janeiro State.

Base Macaé

The operational base in Macaé is responsible for supporting vessels, managing operations with remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), offshore personnel and material logistics, Project teams and clients.

Macaé Base has a ROV hydraulic laboratory, an area with drainage water separator from oil, a two floor commercial building with reception, parking and storeroom.

Subsea construction vessels

The Sunrise 2000 vessel is dedicated to Brazil and  is one of the world’s most sophisticated deepwater pipelay vessels. She is unique in her ability to lay flexible flowlines and umbilicals simultaneously in waters up to 2,000 meters deep.

The vessel is equipped with the latest technologies in dynamic positioning, power and propulsion, and thruster packages. It has been providing installation services in Brazil since March 1995 and has already launched over 2,500 km of flexible lines.

The Technip fleet is composed of 32 vessels, two of them being Brazilian flagged: The Skandi Vitória and Skandi Niteroi.
