Graduate Engineer Profiles

Matt joined Technip in 2008 with BEng (Ocean Engineering) from the Australian Maritime College.
Since joining Technip as an Installation Engineer I have had the opportunity to work on a number of projects such as Laminaria-Corallina, Enfield and Kikeh both locally and internationally. These projects have allowed me to learn and gain experience from both hands on offshore construction work and vessel mobilisations to detailed engineering out of the Perth office. As a graduate the experience and training that Technip has provided me with has been excellent. Working with people from vast and varied backgrounds in this challenging and demanding industry has been a great experience.

Tom joined Technip in 2007 with BEng (Electrical & Electronic) and BSc (Biomedical)
My graduate experience with Technip has been a challenging and exciting introduction to electrical engineering in the oil & gas industry. I joined the Kupe Gas Project team working on the power system design and the specification of electrical equipment to purchase. In mid-2008 I relocated to the construction site office in Taranaki, New Zealand, where my role included construction supervision, field engineering and commissioning support. Working on a major project such as Kupe from design all the way through to construction and commissioning is a valuable opportunity that few other companies could offer. Technip has always been able to offer me new challenges when I want them and as a result I have learnt a huge amount during my time as a graduate.
Damian, BEng (Civil) & BCom (Management)

I started at Technip in Construction Engineering and have been involved in both tendering and project work. My first project provided me with offshore experience where my role was to perform the cable installation analysis as one of three Project Engineers offshore. My six years at Technip have been a great experience, especially through my offshore work and Technip's graduate program which provides good training opportunities. I am currently working in Norway as part of a policy of sending engineers to different engineering offices around the world in order to share engineering knowledge.

Elizabeth, BEng (Mechanical) & BSc (Chemistry)

I have worked for Technip for seven years, first as a construction engineer and recently as a Flexible Pipelines Engineer. My first project was a subsea installation project in the Timor Sea, which gave me offshore experience, and since then I've worked on a range of projects that have exposed me to different aspects of the job including tendering, design and execution phases. The highlight so far has been working in Oslo, Norway on a subsea installation project in the North Sea. Technip provides its graduates with lots of opportunities, both career-wise and personally, and I've definitely enjoyed my time here.
