Technip is a world leader in project management, engineering and construction for the oil and gas industry. The Group has a regular workforce of 23,000 people worldwide, fully-integrated capabilities and widely acknowledged expertise in three business segments: Subsea infrastructures, Offshore platforms and Onshore processing facilities.

Chairman & CEO

The Chairman & CEO is responsible for the general management of Technip. He discharges this responsibility in accordance with the Technip statutes and applicable laws

The Executive Committee (“EXCOM”)

The Chairman & CEO is assisted in his management responsibilities by the EXCOM comprising the Chief Operating Officer, the Chief Financial Officer, the Head of Human Resources, the General Counsel and three other senior executives from the operational business.

Thierry PILENKO
Chairman and CEO
Thierry Pilenko is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Technip, a world leader in engineering, technologies and project management for the oil and gas industry.
Before joining Technip in 2007, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Veritas DGC, a seismic services company based in Houston. While at Veritas DGC he successfully managed its merger with the Compagnie Générale de Géophysique.
Prior to this appointment, Pilenko held various management and executive positions with Schlumberger where he started in 1984 as a geologist. He held several international positions in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia before becoming President of Schlumberger GeoQuest in Houston and subsequently Managing Director of SchlumbergerSema in Paris until 2004.
Thierry Pilenko holds degrees from France’s Nancy School of Geology (1981) and the IFP School (1982). He serves on the Board of Directors of Hercules Offshore and CGGVeritas.

 

Bernard di TULLIO
President and Chief Operating Officer
Bernard di Tullio was appointed  President and Chief Operating Officer of Technip in October 2007.  Prior to this appointment he held a succession of operational and management positions within the Group.  He began his career at Technip in 1975 as a Design Engineer and then served as a Project Engineer before being appointed General Manager of  Technip Malaysia In 1984 and then President and Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific in 1995.  He held  this position for ten years before being named  President of the Group’s Oil and Gas Division in 2005.
Bernard di Tullio is a graduate of Ecole Spéciale de Mécanique et d'Electricité and Institut d’Administration des Entreprises (Paris).  

 

Philippe BARRIL
Senior Vice President Offshore
Philippe Barril is Senior Vice President Offshore of Technip, a world leader in engineering, technologies and project management for the oil and gas industry. He also manages the activities of the Region A, one of the Group’s seven Regions covering Western Europe, Africa, India and Pakistan.
Before joining the Group in 2009 as Senior Vice President, Onshore-Offshore Products Lines and Technologies, he was Deputy COO of Entrepose Contracting.
Previously, Philippe Barril held various positions in the hydrocarbon industry where he gained a vast international experience. He was notably responsible for the Western Africa activities of Bouygues Offshore before having a first experience at Technip from 2002 to 2005 as Senior Vice President Africa-Mediterranean Sea Offshore and Subsea.
Philippe Barril is a graduate of Ecole Centrale Lyon (1988).

 

John HARRISON
General Counsel
John Harrison brings extensive international experience to Technip having started his career in 1991 at the international law firm Clifford Chance, working consecutively in their London, New York and Paris offices. From 1998 onwards he held senior legal positions in Airbus and in the EADS Group.
Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales since 1993, John Harrison completed his academic studies at the University of McGill, Montréal, Canada. He holds a Bachelors (LLB (Hons)) and Master (LLM) of Laws degree.

 

Thierry PARMENTIER
Human Resources Director
Thierry Parmentier joined Technip in March 2008 as Senior Vice President International Staff Management and was named Director of Human Resources in June 2009.
Prior to joining Technip and over a twenty-year period, Thierry held various senior HR positions at Schlumberger, Atos Origin and Faurecia.
He holds a Masters degree in law from the University of Paris II.

 

Dominique de SORAS
Senior Vice President Subsea
Dominique de Soras joined Coflexip in 1982 as a Project Manager, before becoming Deputy General Manager for Coflexip Norway.
Following the merger with Stena Offshore, he moved to Aberdeen to manage the Engineering Division and subsequently the design and build of the Deep Blue.
In 2002, Technip acquired Coflexip Stena Offshore and Dominique de Soras was appointed CEO of the Offshore Operation. In 2006, he re-located to Paris as Senior Executive Vice President of Technip's Oil and Gas Division. In October 2007, Dominique de Soras was appointed Senior Vice President of the newly-created Subsea Division.

 

Nello UCCELLETTI
Senior Vice President Onshore
After receiving a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Naples, Nello Uccelletti joined Technip in 1978. He has spent his entire career within the Group in positions including Manager of Technip Italy's Engineering Department and Middle East Business and Projects Units. In 2001 he was given the responsibility of Technip Group's Middle East Business and Project Units. From the end of 2005 he was in charge of all Business Development Activities for Technip Italy including the Middle East, Southern and Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia and South America. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Technip Italy in April 2007, and Senior Vice President, Region B in October 2007. In July 2010, he became Senior Vice President Onshore.

 

Julian WALDRON
Chief Financial Officer
Julian Waldron, a graduate of Cambridge University, started his career at the investment bank UBS Warburg where he spent 14 years. He then worked at Thomson where he was Chief Financial Officer from 2001 and interim Chief Executive Officer from March 2008 to August 2008.
He joined Technip in October 2008, as Chief Financial Officer.

 

The Executive Committee prepares decisions for submission to Technip's Board of Directors, concerning, in particular, the approval of the accounts, the definition of the objectives and budgets, the strategic orientations and the acquisitions or sales of assets and companies. It is also consulted on plans and recommendations for internal auditing, IT and telecommunications, human resources and asset management issues.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO), is responsible for the entire operational organization, covering the business and all execution resources.

Reporting to the COO are:

  • seven Regions that are fully accountable for projects and client relations;
  • an integrated business unit in charge of Subsea assets and technologies;
  • nine Product Business Units providing expertise to the Regions


The Group's corporate divisions – Finance and Control, Human Resources, General Counsel and Communications, HSE, Security, and Risk Management– support the Regions and Business Units and report to the Chairman and CEO.
